🎮 Baltic Gaming Blog: Real Talk with Scully — Gaming, Community & Mental Health

At Baltic Apparel, we’re all about real conversations — the kind that remind you we’re all human behind the screens.

This week, we sat down with Scully, an Irish content creator making waves across Twitch, TikTok, Instagram, and beyond. Known for his authenticity, humour, and commitment to community, Scully opens up about his mental health journey and why he’s proud to be part of the Baltic movement.

 Mental Health & Community

Has gaming or content creation helped you through any tough times personally?

“Yeah, anytime I was having a rough day or bad week, my community would always cheer me up — doing little things like making jokes or even just DMing me to ask, ‘What’s up? Is everything okay?’ Those small gestures really lifted me when I needed it most.”

At Baltic, we believe that same support can reach beyond the screen — through community, conversation, and what we wear. Every Baltic Apparel piece is designed to remind you that you’re not alone.

Everyone faces challenges — what kind of mental health challenges have you experienced, and what’s helped you push through?

“My comparing mindset affected me a lot. Every time I streamed, I’d catch myself comparing to others and asking, ‘Why am I not there yet?’ or ‘Why aren’t my numbers higher?’ But I’ve learned that comparison is the thief of joy.

That line hits home for so many creators. It’s a reminder that your journey is your own — and that progress isn’t always measured in numbers.

Why do you think it’s so important — especially for guys in the gaming scene — to talk openly about what they’re going through?

“The biggest killer for men between the ages of 18–45 is themselves. We should always aim to reduce that and improve the message that men can speak.

This message is at the heart of Baltic Apparel — breaking the silence around men’s mental health and encouraging open, honest conversation. When you wear Baltic, you’re helping to push that message further.

How do you look after your own mental health while balancing the pressure to keep showing up for your audience?

“Keeping my close friends and family around me — they’re always reassuring me and supporting my decisions.”

Having a strong support network matters. Whether it’s family, friends, or your online community — those connections are what keep us grounded.

If someone in the gaming community is struggling but doesn’t know how to open up, what would you say to them?

“You’re not the only one feeling like this. Trust that other people are dealing with or feeling what you are right now — and they might have a way to help. So always ask or speak up about it.”

That’s the core of what Baltic Apparel stands for — you are not alone.
And that’s why for every item sold, Baltic gives another piece to a charity or community group supporting people in need.

 Spreading Awareness

Why do you think movements like this — raising mental health awareness through community and apparel — matter today?

“Suicide is the biggest killer for men, and the stats keep increasing. We need to speak and support each other more than anything right now.”

That’s what drives the Baltic movement — using apparel with purpose to bring awareness to real issues and create meaningful impact. Every hoodie, tee, or sweatshirt is more than just clothing — it’s a statement that we’re stronger together.

If your story could help just one person, what would you want them to take away from it?

“That I’m still not perfect and still aiming to achieve more — but because I’m imperfect, there’s always something I can find joy in. That’s the joy of life.”

Scully’s message reminds us that perfection isn’t the goal — progress is. And in between all of that, there’s joy, community, and connection.
